This so called costly “safety” addition to new and existing guard barrier rails along the Victorian roads network create wildlife killing corridors.

Wildlife, wombats, wallabies, goannas etc., etc., are being trapped and killed, and vehicles damaged because there is no escape for any of these.

This is unacceptable, there is a need for escape tunnels, at reasonable intervals to be excavated under these “almost to the ground” rails so that terrestrial wildlife have a chance to exit the road when caught in these traps.

Please sign and tell those who are responsible for the construction of these guard barrier rails are effective traps. That escape routes must be created, along this barrier system, not too far apart to allow wildlife to escape. Or remove this ill conceived rail entirely.
