In Canada, our family has suffered similar to Aboriginal peoples’ experiences with the residential schools, and it has been some of devastating or ruining consequences from UNBC. Research also says that the first-generation immigrants in Canada have experienced negative outcomes in many areas similar to Aboriginal peoples’outcomes with the residential schools. The residential schools have been the part of the dark, secret and ugly history of Canada as well as deliberately designed by the government the form of torturing and genocide for Aboriginal peoples. Remains of 215 children found buried in Kamloops at former B.C. residential school is only one example of many secrets of tragedy and suffering caused to Aboriginal peoples and their families.
