May 9, 2018 The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal is an awful joke. They have violated the Human Rights laws themselves, and further discriminate against the victim(s), further humiliate and abuse, make false statements etc. My family has gone through HELL due to systemic discrimination. Many British Columbians who are victims of discrimination and cannot afford a lawyer or lawyers also have experienced devastating consequences due to the violations of their Human Rights. On the other hand, a woman who in another country agreed in writing by repeatedly signing the documentation indicating her agreement to her employment conditions and also did not complain about the abuse inflicted upon her by her employer(s) and did not have the right to live and work in British Columbia / Canada received a Canadian lawyer for her free legal representation. That woman received compensation ordered by the BC Human Rights Tribunal, and she was paid all of other expenses for living in BC for around a year and a half. That woman experienced six weeks of being treated unfairly in Richmond, British Columbia. Her six weeks of suffering is nothing compare to the Hell, horror, suffering, nightmare, etc I have experienced over many years due to discrimination and the consequences of it which has also had a great negative impact on my family including my child who could become an orphan and as you know from my story I am a single mother. The BC Human Rights Tribunal ruined my life and that of my child.
For instance, before my graduation I had already been hired as a registered nurse and I planned our trip to the home country to visit my elderly, sick parents. However, I and my son were unable to say goodbye to my father before he passed away. My father suffered severely from cancer and he very much wanted to see us before he died. We did not see him nor were we able to attend his funeral because UNBC /some of its instructors/ professors and the BC Human Rights Tribunal changed our life due to discrimination, abuse, their violations of the laws etc.
