There are renewed hopes Australia may soon accept New Zealand's offer to resettle 150 refugees who were previously held in detention centres on Manus Island and Nauru. New Zealand first offered to accept 150 refugees each year from offshore detention in 2013. Since then, the offer has remained on the table.
