First of all, thanks so much to all of you who have supported this petition for the Australian government to stop the indefinite offshore detention of asylum seekers. 

I wanted to re-share this recent article by the Sydney Morning Herald which I read via Behrouz Boochani's Twitter account which describes some of the real suffering endured by people seeking asylum in Australia, who are being forcibly detained on Manus Island and Nauru.

Please could you continue to share this petition with colleagues, friends and family, and spread the word about this shameful situation to anyone who cares about human rights and freedom. The more exposure that this issue gets on social media, the more likely positive change will happen.
