The Hindu Terms police probe so far as ‘casual and routine’ Observing that the investigation into the disappearance of Kumar Ajitabh, a software engineer, is being done in a ‘casual and routine manner’ by the police, the Karnataka High Court on Friday directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to submit his mobile phone call details of about 10 days soon after he went missing on December 18, 2017. Justice Aravind Kumar issued the direction after noticing from the investigating agency’s report, which indicated only a few phone calls were made to Ajitabh’s mobile number, particularly after the investigation officer secured a duplicate SIM card for the purpose of the investigation.
