Request for Special Meeting to Address Concerns Before the Annual Meeting for 2015
UNDER ARTICLE 2 of the Bylaws that Govern the Community of the Metropolitan Condominium Association, Titled Meetings of Members, Section 2, Special Meetings: Special Meetings of the members may be called for any purpose at any time by the President, Secretary, or by request of any two (2) or more board members, or upon written petition of fifteen (15%) of the Owners. Any such written petition by the members must be submitted to the Association’s Secretary. The Secretary shall then verify that the required number of members have joined in the petition and shall submit all proper petitions to the Association’s President. The President shall then promptly call a special meeting for the purpose stated in the petition, and the Secretary shall send notice of the meeting in accordance with these Bylaws.
The purpose of this special meeting is to address the following concerns:
1. Review the proposed budget for 2015. There are several financial transactions we have questions about.
2. We had no December meeting, so we were not able to go over the objectives that would have been covered.
3. We need to clarify the board positions that are open, as well as review accurate instructions on the voting process for new members.
4. The Property Manager, Dan Johnson, has resigned over our building. This information wasn’t communicated to all of the owners, but the proxy still has him down as the contact for sending in your proxy.
We need your vote to achieve the 15% of owners to call this special meeting so we may be informed prior to our Annual Meeting, January 15, 2014.
Proposed date of Special Meeting, Sunday December 21st or December 23rd. We would like for you to be there in person, however your attendance is not mandatory. You may send someone in your place by proxy.
