Homelessness and family violence services raising federal funding at COAG

Homelessness Australia
Oct 27, 2016
In the lead-up to today's Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Summit on Family Violence Homelessness Australia, National Shelter and family violence services have been calling on the Prime Minister to commit to ongoing federal funding of homelessness. That's because more than one in three people come to homelessness services because they are fleeing family violence. And yet the National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness, which provides around a third of homelessness funding, is set to expire next year. You can listen to Jenny Smith, Homelessness Australia chair discussing these issues yesterday on RN Breakfast.
