I am starting this petition to protect our children from visiting sex offenders who take the route of 'charity'. In particular to the possible crimes Richard Huckle may have committed in India that may go unpunished for want of will by Indian Government.

Your support will force Indian Government to put in checks and balances of visitors profiling and prevent children from falling victims of sexual abuse in the name of charity as well take up the case against Richard Huckle.

Background:

A report in 'The Guardian' dated 2nd June 2016 reveals a paedophile in Richard Huckle, a photographer from Ashford, Kent, who  admitted to U K court to 71 offences against Malaysian children aged between six months and 12 years from 2006 to 2014, making him one of Britain’s most prolific paedophiles.

Problem:

The case lists only crimes against Malaysian Children. However it has come to public knowledge that Richard had visited India and in particular, the orphanages for children including "New Hope for Children Orphanage" Bangalore and others in Vellore TN in one of the identified visits.

There is no attempt whatsoever by the Indian Government to fully fathom if any criminal activities were carried out by Richard during his visit(s) to India and if criminal activities were committed, take legal actions.

There is no checks and balances to prevent such visitors from entering India as tourists who indulge in perversity under the name of charity.

 Modus Operandi:

"Huckle targeted poor Christian communities" says the report. He has also published a guide on how to abuse children from impoverished areas. Richard also boasts that “impoverished kids are definitely much easier to seduce than middle class western kids”.

The prosecutor "told judge Peter Rook the extent of Huckle’s abuse was likely to be greater as investigators had been unable to access six password protected heavily encrypted files on his computer"

Our appeal- Punish Richard Huckle:

We request the Indian Government to find ways to participate in the trial in U K and find out the extent to which Richard has abused children from India.

We request the Indian Government to appeal to the U K court to break into the encrypted computers to uncover evidences of crime against Indian children.

If Richard is proven guilty of crimes against children in India, begin legal processes within India to punish Richard irrespective of the ruling by the U K courts.

We also request the Govt to access the past visit records of Richard Huckle and draw up the organizations he has visited. And to share the details of visits to respective State Governments and direct the State Police to collect evidences of crimes of child abuse, if any, and to investigate and submit a report on the complicity of the organisations in child abuse.

Our appeal- Prevent another Richard Huckle:

Finally, we request the Prime Minister to review the 'Visa on arrival' policy that allows unhindered access to would be paedophiles to Orphanages in the guise of charity and religious work. There are numerous instances that have been exposed in Social Media of the duplicitous entry of such 'Charity' workers walking through immigration as 'tourists'. While India should remain friendly to true visitors, those exploiting our goodwill should be punished, to prevent our future children from becoming prey to Richard like paedophiles.
