Dear Supporters,

We have accomplished much in just three weeks, but there is STILL MUCH to be done.

Senator Dave Cortese, California, has become a role model for states nationwide by proposing a bill that he will present to the Senate on January 3rd which will call for the banning of live ammunition and real firearms on movie and television sets in the state of California, along with addressing crew working conditions.

I am working on getting similar legislation passed in the states of New York, New Mexico, Georgia and Texas. Since Hollywood studios have remained silent on this issue and refuse to address crew working conditions, along with using real guns on set, it seems they'll only respond through legislation and our voices.

I urge all of my supporters to not give in to Hollywood Studios who can care less about crew working conditions. They've been slaving you guys for ages and it's time to send them a clear message that you're not to be taken advantage of any more. Halyna Hutchins was murdered on the set of RUST for doing her job. It wasn’t only because of a real gun and live ammunition being used on set, she was murdered because of the horrendous working conditions along with the producer's negligence towards crew throughout the entire shoot. 

THE CAMERA DEPARTMENT WALKED OFF SET ON THE DAY HALYNA HUTCHINS WAS MURDERED BECAUSE OF POOR CREW WORKING CONDITIONS AND A BLATANT DISREGARD FOR CREW SAFETY!

Make your voices heard and VOTE "NO" on the upcoming IATSE contract. Let's send a clear message to Hollywood that we demand better crew working conditions. The days of working 16-18 hour days are long over.
