Important update passed along from Hollywood residents: 

April 3rd at 1 PM, City Hall: The City Commission will discuss and vote on possible City Charter Review change recommendations, which would affect the sales/leases of city owned property, and also might change the ability of residents to be able to reject “any measure” passed by the City Commission. (They are attempting to change “any measure” to “ordinance”. For example, the 1301 condo project was passed by a resolution. So under this change, we would not be allowed to do the referendum for 1301 because it was a resolution, not an ordinance). 

The City attorney claimed we couldn’t do a referendum initiative on a resolution, but our attorneys advised that we could, but did not provide the state statute that says we can't do a referendum initiative on a resolution.
