CONDO VOTE! And possible demonstration!
Wednesday, March 16th.
City Hall, 2nd floor.
10 AM: Sign up to speak. The agenda item will be early in the 10 AM meeting.
4 PM-7 PM: Demonstration and referendum petition signing (OR celebration, depending on the commission's vote). If the commission votes yes to pass this deal, residents will be collecting signatures from registered Hollywood voters to override the decision by the commission. You must sign the referendum petition in person (it can't be done online). Look for the residents with clipboards outside of City Hall if there is a protest. The protest permit was already applied for and approved, so bring your signs.
To override the commission's decision, we will need to collect signatures from 15% of the registered voters in Hollywood on the official referendum petition. You may only sign once. You may only sign for yourself, not for a spouse or family member. Signatures will be turned in to the city clerk for verification of voter status, so please write neatly and supply correct address/info.
