Petition updateHold Superintendent Duerr Accountable, Fast-Track the SRO Bill (H.753) Now!DESE's Dodge, Time to Pack the October 14th Meeting!!

Dear Supporters,

Quick but frustrating update: I filed a Problem Resolution System complaint with DESE on September 17 about our district's failure to address the Fotheringham threat and ensure a safe environment. Their response? A September 26 letter acknowledging my concerns but closing the file with "no further action."

Instead of stepping in, they defer everything back to Superintendent Lori Duerr (508-540-1515 x137, lduerr@falmouth.k12.ma.us) and School Committee Chair Terri Medeiros (tmedeiros@falmouth.k12.ma.us), the very officials at the heart of the lapses.

They suggest "continued collaboration" with the district on safety plans. It's classic dodgeball: Pass the buck to the problem players and call it resolved. This runaround leaves our kids vulnerable and us without answers. But we're not done, your 1,000+ signatures are our power. Parents, let's pack the next School Committee meeting (Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Admin Building, 6:30 PM).

Submit questions in advance on the agenda items like safety plans, demand the Written Emergency Response Plan from the Fire Chief and real talk on SROs in schools.

If we're stonewalled again, our next big step is escalating to the AG for a full probe tying this to their Open Meeting Law mess. Sign and share to hit 2,000 on the petition!

Our kids deserve better.
