Good morning,

Yesterday I contacted Dr. Dent’s office, the Superintendent/Secretary to the Board, to schedule a meeting to discuss the board's response to this petition. I explained very clearly and requested a short meeting for next week so I could update all you amazing people that have taken action by signing this petition.

I was given a date of May 26th stating this was the earliest she could meet with me regarding a community concern that has been ignored since February. Perhaps giving me a meeting date a month out, the last day before a holiday weekend, is the district and board’s response? It is unacceptable to brush off the concerns of students, families, staff, and community members.

The petition is open until May 2nd so please continue to share it out to anyone and everyone. There is no age restriction and students are encouraged to sign and comment in the comment sections. The Superintendent and Board Members can read your comments.

I was hoping it wouldn’t come to this, but I will be persistently reaching out to every journalistic media outlet I can think of this coming week and I am thinking of organizing a rally or rallies as well. Any ideas are welcomed and needed. You can contact me directly at chryssyc@gmail.com.

Thank you all for your support!
