On August 29, 2025, I delivered a civil rights complaint to City Hall. The City Clerk’s Office read my letter, then refused to sign my receipt or log my testimony. This refusal blocks the record, erases my voice, and violates the very laws that protect citizens.

For years, I have lived this fight. As a civic leader living with epilepsy and PTSD, I have been mocked in boardrooms, silenced in hearings.

In public court, the Springfield Housing Authority impugned my integrity — labeling me “crazy” simply for demanding ADA protection. This was not just an insult. It was an attempt to discredit a Black civic leader, a person with epilepsy, and a survivor of PTSD, all to silence my civil rights claims.

SHA’s retaliation and the City’s silence are not about me alone. They are about every tenant, every disabled person, every family told their rights don’t matter.

With the 2025 elections approaching, Springfield voters deserve clarity. Will City Council protect civil rights, or will it keep the logbooks empty?

I call on you: sign, share, demand accountability. Transparency is not paperwork — it is survival.
