📢 PETITION UPDATE

36,000 Voices.

One Message:

People Over Platforms.

This movement has now grown to 36,000 supporters, 23,626 shares.

Thousands of stories pouring in from around the world.

Together, we’ve proven this is not an isolated issue — it’s a global crisis affecting livelihoods, mental health, and freedom of expression.

Since launching this petition, your voices have reached BBC News, Sky News, ABC, CBC, TechCrunch, Forbes, and more.

Every signature, share, and story strengthens the case that Big Tech’s broken moderation systems and lack of human customer support are causing real harm to real people.

🚨 What Meta Is Doing — and Why It Matters Legally 🚨

In country after country, we’re seeing Meta:

  • Ignoring court orders — as in Brazil, where a journalist’s verified page remains offline despite a judge ordering its restoration over a year ago.
  • Bypassing due process — instantly banning accounts without warning or a clear reason, denying the chance to defend oneself.
  • Misusing AI moderation — falsely flagging harmless posts as “child exploitation,” “hate speech,” or “spam” while allowing genuine violations to slip through.
  • Suppressing essential services — cutting off educators, charities, small businesses, and news outlets from their audiences overnight.
  • Isolating users from their property — removing access to years of personal photos, videos, and messages without a legal pathway to reclaim them.

These actions may breach consumer protection laws, data privacy regulations, freedom of expression protections, and platform transparency requirements in multiple jurisdictions.

Many countries already have laws that could apply — the challenge is making sure they’re enforced against companies as large as Meta.

⚖️ Legal Action & Next Steps

We are actively:

  • Researching global legal pathways to hold Meta and other platforms accountable
  • Speaking with impacted users, legal experts, and advocacy groups worldwide
  • Monitoring ongoing lawsuits and regulatory investigations
  • Exploring potential class actions and international complaints
  • Documenting real-world harm for media, regulators, and policymakers

If you have legal experience or country-specific knowledge about digital rights, platform accountability, or consumer protection laws, we’d love your input.

📣 Your Stories Matter

From Brazil to Canada, the US to Australia, we’ve heard from:

  • Journalists silenced despite court orders to restore their pages
  • Small business owners losing their entire livelihoods after AI-triggered bans
  • Creators accused of serious violations for PG-rated content
  • Churches, charities, and educators suddenly locked out of their communities
  • Mental health crises triggered by isolation and loss of years of memories

We are compiling these stories into public advocacy tools — including our Voices Map, petition comment scrolls, and campaign videos — to ensure decision-makers cannot ignore the human impact. We will share with you when it is launched! 💙

📅 What’s Coming Next

  • Merchandise launch to help fund advocacy & legal research
  • Certification Program for ethical platforms that respect user rights
  • Movement video combining petition stories, stats, and a call to action
  • Continued media outreach and partnerships with advocacy organizations
  • Ongoing pressure on Meta and other platforms to restore wrongfully banned accounts and reform their systems

We are not slowing down.

Big Tech Platforms like Meta have had too many years of unchecked power.

Together, we are proving that when people unite — across borders, professions, and platforms — we can demand justice, transparency, and accountability.

We see you. We hear you.

And we’re not going anywhere until the platforms listen! 📣
