If it interests you to be able to quantify how Meta manipulates follower growth, this is a great chart! It shows that in one day, they lifted the shadow ban and the next, put it back. Oh no, we can't have those hippy weed nuns having MORE than 300,000 followers. The sky would fall in. It would no doubt kick off a global disaster.

Here's the thing. Social media platforms are just like the telegraph and the telephone. New ways for people to communicate. And yes, everyone should have standards.

Everyone should be on the look out for evil stuff, child trafficking, abuse of people, elderly, the young, any age, the abuse of pets, there's so much bad stuff that should be suppressed. Hate speech. Also, I actually wouldn't mind if they suppressed stupid. I don't know if you all saw yesterday or the day before, but the east coast got a dusting of snow and the news said 'six million people to face ice and sleet'. WTH?

So what's my fixation with facebook?

We didn't know our content was being suppressed or our growth was being meddled with, UNTIL the Pakistani hackers took our page. Then I started watching the follower count closely. I always checked in every month anyway, but the hacking made it an obsession.

And you see, after the hack, facebook forgot to suppress our content. And then we could see what actual growth looks like. Then we could see the results of our missionary work, you know, to get out 'the word'.

So they imposed some kind of limit before the hack, that wouldn't let us get about 170K followers. Now they have a limit that won't let us go above 300K followers.
Check out the stats from January 7th. On the same day, gained and lost followers. C'mon facebook, numbers don't lie. Or, do your numbers lie, facebook?
