Since the previous update, Cathouse has came forward with another statement. 

Unfortunately, the venue is still disregarding all allegations. They have only responded to one case. It seems as though instead of addressing allegations, they have generalised the issue and focused/derailed the attention to the one. 

I have discontinued my direct contact with cathouse as to avoid distraction from the original message. 

In light of their post, more individuals have came forward concerning issues with CCTV, staff and management (which has been a common theme in the previous allegations)

As with their initial statement, the alleged victims (and those who support the cause) are not yet satisfied in the way Cathouse has approached and responded. Cathouse stand by their use of the word “glib” to describe the allegations and have refused to apologise to the alleged victims.

They have took issues and accused the petition itself as being “misleading” after an update was made to the title from “stop abuse at Cathouse” to “hold Cathouse accountable”, However, since this change we have continued to acquire 200+ signatures and 400-500 interactions on all stories which include updates and responses from myself and the alleged victims. This is not misleading, nor is the petition.

I would also like to note that none of the original contents describing the allegations and reasoning for the petition changed nor was edited, the only thing that was UPDATED was what our requirements were for change after it was discussed by the alleged victims.

The venue also claims “We do not see what stories you share” as a deflection in order to not acknowledge the petition or the allegations posted, this however is false. 

Due to my social being a creator account, I can directly see who has viewed and interacted with my story, including those who don’t follow me. Ie, the staff/Cathouse. Therefore, I can confirm multiple staff from cathouse has viewed the allegations.

Cathouse have continued to post on their social media as if these allegations no longer exist. Nevertheless, others and myself will continue to spread awareness on these growing allegations. 

They have made their safe clubbing policy public. While this is a good step in theory, these are the same safety outlines which have been alleged, by attendees and ex employees, to not have been enforced correctly (same applies to the routine meetings) 

Cathouse has responded in surprise to the allegations that have been commented by other alleged victims directly on their posts/social media as if they are bewildered/hearing it for the first time, this continues to be an insensitive response noticed by all concerned. 

As I have mentioned to the alleged victims directly and to individuals on my story publicly, I hope the way Cathouse has reacted so far does not discourage anyone from coming forward. 

We will stay resilient and continue to spread awareness.
