We are now at 550+ signatures, and yet Castleberry ISD has not issued a direct response to our community’s concerns regarding today’s violent threats. While the district has opted to stay open, many of us still feel that transparency has been lacking.

We are not just a number on a screen. We are parents, students, and neighbors.

Since the administration has ignored the petition so far, we need to move from signing to acting. If you are concerned about student safety today, please take these 3 steps right now:

CALL THE DISTRICT OFFICE: (817) 252-2000. Ask them: "What specific extra security measures are at our schools right now to protect students from the current threat?"
EMAIL THE SUPERINTENDENT: Copy and paste this link to our petition and email it to Superintendent Renee Smith-Faulkner and the Board President: smithr@castleberryisd.net and taliaferrod@castleberryisd.net.
SHARE TO NEWS OUTLETS: Go to Facebook or X (Twitter) and tag @FOX4, @WFAA, and @NBCDFW. Tell them: "Over 550 Castleberry ISD community members are demanding answers about school safety today, but the district is silent. Help us get answers."

The more noise we make, the harder we are to ignore. Stay safe, everyone. We will keep pushing until our students' safety is treated with the urgency it deserves.
