He has pled guilty to three counts of animal abandonment and neglect and has received a fine. While many feel the consequences should have been stronger, this outcome sets an important precedent. We are grateful to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the Prosecutor, and the many supporters who took this case seriously. Most importantly, the three boys are safe, well cared for, and now thriving in homes where they have hens of their own and the lives they deserve.
