私たち Hitotsubashi Collective for Justice in Palestine (HCJP)は、イスラエルによるパレスチナへの軍事的侵攻とジェノサイドに反対するために結成された一橋大学の学生主導の団体です。

私たちは、一橋大学の一員として、一橋大学が現在進行形で起きているジェノサイドを黙認していること、またヘブライ大学と学生交流協定を結んでいることでジェノサイドに加担していることを看過できません。

パレスチナに対する侵攻について、国際司法裁判所(ICJ)は、イスラエルに対しガザ地区での軍事作戦を停止するよう命じています。それに対しイスラエルは応じておらず、ガザ地区での停戦を求めて国際的に圧力をかける必要があります。

国際社会の一員として、一橋大学が沈黙していることは許されません。

2022 年度学部入学式式辞において学長は「皆さんが大学生、とりわけ一橋大学生となった現在、ウクライナの戦争はもちろんのこと、アフガニスタンやミャンマーにおける人権・人道上の危機など、次々と国際社会を襲う紛争や対立は、もはや決して他人事では済まされません。なぜなら大学は、とりわけ一橋大学は、そこに世界があり、また世界とつながっているからです」と述べています。

また、一橋大学は現在創立 150 周年に向けて、「社会を科学するということは、社会の現実に対峙し、立ち向かうということだ」というステートメントを発表しています。我々は世界とつながる一橋大学の一員として、パレスチナの状況を自分事としてとらえ、一橋大学が植民地主義・ジェノサイドへの加担をやめ、パレスチナとの連帯の姿勢を提示するために、以下のことを求めます。

①ヘブライ大学との学生交流協定を破棄すること

②ジェノサイドに加担するあらゆる企業や学術機関、組織との関係を明らかにすること

③投資引き上げ等によって、上記の組織との一切の関係をたつこと

④学内での学生・市民による抗議行動・集会・言論の自由を保証すること

⑤パレスチナの学生や研究者のほか、パレスチナ連帯を表明したために制裁を受けた学生や研究者を受け入れ、支援すること

⑥現在パレスチナで起きていることをジェノサイドと認め、はっきりとイスラエルを非難する声明を発表すること

一橋大学がジェノサイドに加担しないためには皆さんの声が必要です。

We, Hitotsubashi Collective for Justice in Palestine (HCJP), are a student-led organization from Hitotsubashi University that opposes Israel's military invasion and genocide against Palestine.

As students from Hitotsubashi University, we cannot overlook the fact that Hitotsubashi University is complicit in genocide by tacitly condoning the ongoing genocide and by having a student exchange agreement with Hebrew University.

In response to Israel's aggression against Palestine, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ordered Israel to halt its military operations in the Gaza Strip. As Israel has not complied with the ICJ's order, international pressure must be applied for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. As a member of the international community, Hitotsubashi University cannot remain silent. 

Like the president mentioned in his speech at the entrance ceremony in 2022,

“Now that we are Hitotsubashi University students, the conflicts and confrontations that are hitting the international community one after another are no longer something that can be left to others; such as the human rights and humanitarian crises in Afghanistan and Myanmar, not to mention the war in Ukraine. Because the university, and Hitotsubashi University in particular, is where the world is and is connected to the world.”

Thus, as members of Hitotsubashi University who are connected to the world, we see the situation in Palestine as our own, and we demand the following for Hitotsubashi University to stop complicity in colonialism and genocide, and to stand in solidarity with Palestine:

 

① End the academic exchange with Hebrew university

② Disclose information about Hitotubashi’s ties with Israeli institutions

③ Divest from Israeli institutions

④ Protect students’ and citizens’ freedom of speech and right to protest and ensure that students are not penalized for their actions

⑤ Accept and support Palestinian students and researchers who can no longer engage in academic endeavors due to the destruction of Palestinian universities and educational institutions. Additionally, support those who have been sanctioned for expressing solidarity with Palestine.

⑥ Issue a statement recognizing the ongoing events in Palestine as genocide and clearly condemn Israel’s action.
