We the undersigned support the request made by Stephen Timms MP for the World Cup Sculputre/Bobby Moore Statue to become listed by Historic England.  Newham Council and West Ham United are considering plans to move the statue near to West Ham United's new home at the London Stadium.  The statue was commissioned by Newham Council and WHUFC and paid for by both, together with some funding from the Arts Council to celebrate West Ham United's role in winning the World Cup in 1966.  The statue is a local landmark and represents the history of West Ham's home at Upton Park and their achievements during their time here.  The Champions Sculpture belongs here, opposite the listed Boleyn Pub.  West Ham was at the heart of this area and our community for over one hundred years.  The statue should be listed as a legacy to commemorate this history.  Please sign to support our campaign.
