Yesterday morning, I was in New York City to deliver your petition signatures to the Iranian Mission to the United Nations. I was fortunate to chat with a number of journalists about Jason’s 500th day in prison and meet briefly with an Iranian representative about this injustice. While our exchange was cordial, my explicit demands for Jason’s immediate release went largely unheard. What didn’t go unnoticed was the fact that more than 530,000 people worldwide are standing with Jason. Numerous news outlets highlighted the petition, showcasing how much people care about this long-standing, unacceptable injustice. We were able to do this yesterday because of you. You are one of the more than half a million people from over 150 countries who have signed our petition. You have made a difference, and I can’t thank you enough. But our work still continues. We will keep working tirelessly each day until Jason is released. The worldwide support uplifts us in our trying times and fuels us in our better days. As always, thank you. - Ali
