You must be wondering what happened after we delivered our gift of pads to the Finance and Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and the State Disaster Management Agency?

A senior official from the government reached out to me to know more about our campaign! We had a good conversation. Now I am in touch with some other officials and our discussions till now have been encouraging. I am happy that our cause is being heard inside the Assam government. 

Public opinion can get things done faster. Let’s ensure bureaucratic processes do not deny the right to dignified periods of girls in the next flood season. Tweet to the Assam government to build girl-friendly flood shelters which have pads & clean toilets to ensure #DignityinFloods.
