So far our emails to the The Hills Shire Council have gone unanswered. They will speak to the newspapers about it but not us? Our son asked this morning 'Did they say yes to the skatepark yet?'. We told him no they haven't, but we have to keep at it.
Over the past few years The City of Sydney have invested into skateparks for a reason, and it's pretty simple they are used frequently by a lot people from all over Sydney. Fields and playgrounds are not used as much as these skateparks are. Skateparks are used frequently at all times of the day by a large and diverse group of people.
The Hills Shire Council needs to look at skateparks around Sydney and regional cities of Australia and see the high quality and standard of these facilities compared to what is offered to the community of The Hills.

Unlike Balcombe Heights Skatepark, Sydney Park Skatepark is quite large and features multiple zones to suit every ability and style of skating, scootering and BMX riding. Balcombe Heights skatepark has no designated area for beginner or learner skaters, and is quite cramped in its design.
Wouldn't it be great to have a park like this in The Hills??
