While driving to and from this intersection almost daily I have seen far too many scary situations that could have ended terribly. And just this past Memorial day, that awful situation actually occurred.  With 3 people being involved, 2 experienced severe trauma, and one of the 2 is fighting for her life. 

I'm asking you to sign this petition for a much needed roundabout at this intersection. I feel so strongly that a roundabout would offer the constant moving of traffic flow through the intersection. At present, the lines are very light and confusing and had a round about been in place, the accident could have been avoided or at the very least, occurred in a 10 MPH speed. A roundabout also plays a great role is slowing traffic down from an S-bend road just prior to the intersection, as well as traffic coming down from a major downhill direction. This is not the first accident in this intersection, and would probably be a matter of time before it happens again unless Highland City does something to change it. Many of us drive through this intersection with our most precious cargo while heading to the elementary school,  we need to get Highland City's attention!
