With over 18,000 signatures online and over 9,000 signed on paper in the Park we should hit 28,000 this month.   We need more, let’s aim for 30,000 NOW. Councillor Perks newsletter stated: 

“High Park Movement Strategy (HPMS): P1 The City’s strategy to improve mobility within High Park continues to advance, with improvements that prioritize safety, accessibility, and the park’s ecological integrity. Since 2020, the City has maintained vehicle restrictions on Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday weekends, and is working towards the long-term goal of achieving a car-free High Park.”

 The City’s plan to ban vehicles seven days a week by 2027 is rapidly approaching, as is the 2026 City Council Election, how did your candidate vote on the park closure? :

A Toronto City Council vote was taken in May, 2023 for the immediate ban of cars on weekends and holidays, followed by a 7 days a week car ban by 2027. 18 councillors voted YES, 7 councillors voted NO.
