Merlin have now updated their website and customer service responses on social media to state that this is a trial for February half term. Now I believe this is their way of covering their backs when they realise they made a mistake but this is could go one of two ways. Either they admit the trial didn’t work and come up with a new plan that includes everyone like we want, or they say the trial is working and their current plan will continue and so I have a favour to ask.

If you visit during February half term to either Chessington, Legoland or Alton Towers then I’d advise that everyone goes to guest services and respectfully and kindly share your thoughts about this to the guest services teams. Now the staff that work in guest services, it’s not their fault so I please ask that you are kind and calm if you do this because they aren’t the ones making the decisions here, but they will log your feedback which does go to the people who make these decisions so continue to let your voices be heard and let’s keep fighting. We need to tell Merlin that this “trial” will not work and we need to put an end to it before they make their minds up and decide it’s a good idea to permanently exclude people with hidden disabilities.
