9News reports that NBN has hit back at backlash with a detailed statement defending the proposal in the industry-wide Wholesale Pricing and Product Review Consultation Paper.

“[We want to] ensure NBN Co and the industry have sustainable business models that enable continued investment in upgrading and maintaining the network....”

So, they’re going to try and fix their broken business model with additional revenue streams (pun intended) from consumers based on what types of Internet content they access. If streaming such as Netflix and Stan will be first, what’s next?
