THEY are out to erase all remnants of the contribution of the Confederate Veteran from Florida's civic landscape! But WE are fighting every day to prevent it, and to restore the HONOR. What is URGENTLY needed is a State-wide protection Law to not only protect Confederate Monuments, but other War Memorials as well. We have seen all around Florida the disgusting lack of respect for Veteran's memorials, and the "Soldiers and Heroes Monuments and Memorial Protection Act" would save them all! A bill has been filed, HB 1349 by Jay Fant of Jacksonville. But he can't do it alone, and WE can't "phone it in" from back home. WE have engaged a lobbyist with a full-time presence during the legislative session that started earlier this month. Last year we did not have this level of support and the protection law failed to pass. Our final payment is due, and we must raise $3500 before Monday to keep the project on track.
