Background: Floridians have watched in horror as vandals have desecrated and destroyed memorials to American veterans around Florida and the Nation, and as radical left-wing elected officials like Les Miller, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Mitch Landrieu have presided over the destruction of American History. Many states have laws elevating veterans observances to a protected State asset, but Florida does not. Poll after poll shows that Floridians oppose disrespect and destruction of our Veterans' observances. It is time that Florida - a so-called pro-veterans state - enacts a protection bill as well.
