Friends, The full out attack on Florida's Southern History that began last year, is still underway. In the last 2 weeks, both houses of the Florida Legislature has passed a bill - SB 310 - that specifically targets Florida's highest ranking military veteran in an underhanded way to 'get rid of him' from the Statuary Hall in Washington, D.C. Initiated by a so-called history teacher, John Legg from Pasco County, because when he took his students on a field trip he couldn't explain why Gen. Smith was so important to Florida, he set it as his life's work to take it down. So, now the only thing standing between keeping Gen. Smith in Washington and purging another piece of Florida's Southern history is Gov. Scott's VETO PEN. Please call and email Gov. Scott today. We anticipate that he will act on this on Monday (Feb 29th) or Tuesday (March 1st) so TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. Please Call Gov. Scott and tell him to VETO Senate Bill 310. They do count calls. We don't think he expected this issue to be controversial, but let's let him know it is. If you voted for him, it wouldn't hurt to mention that and that you'll be disappointed if he does sign it.
