Supporters,
A lot is happening right now, but I wanted to alert you to an attack on another Confederate Monument, and if possible ask you to come out to a crucial meeting to support it on Wed. Oct. 28th.
Here's the info:
Your help is needed in another fight for Southern Heritage!
A proposed monument is in jeopardy, one that some of you participated in at Hillsborough County Veterans Memorial Park just a couple of years ago.
Your attendance is requested to make a strong show of support for the WBTS committee and the design.
Can you make plans to attend on Wednesday, October 28 at 5 p.m?
The leaders of the committee are trying to bully their way into changing the name of the monument and cutting out the donors of bricks and benches, scrapping the originally approved design, that has received so much community support.
These bullies need to know that their actions are being watched. Feel free to record the meeting on your devices and post and share the anticipated violation of the Park Committee’s own bylaws in achieve the utopia of political correctness.
Date: Wed., October 28th, 2015
Time: 4:45 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Where: Hillsborough Veterans Center - 311 Pauls Dr. Brandon FL 33511
All you need to do is come, be respectful, and support David McCallister, the WBTS Sub-committee chairman in his efforts. He will hold a briefing in the parking lot at 4:45 p.m. He can be reached on cell at 813-778-1202
Invite, friends, family, bring anyone you can that is like minded and has had ENOUGH of the politically correctness and “e-racism” of recent months.

Background: Hillsborough County determined that it sought to establish a ‘world class’ veterans memorial park on 301 near the Fairgrounds honoring veterans from Hillsborough County from each war she participated in . A private organization was formed to oversee the park. A sub-committee was formed for each war or ‘theatre’. David McCallister assumed duties of chairing the WBTS sub-committee. A design was developed featuring an southern cross and a period naval vessel and historical story boards Bricks and benches were sold. A groundbreaking occurred. Engineering plans and a budget were being developed and suddenly, with no notice, the “Executive Board” of the Park Committee disbanded the Sub-committee (without any consent by the Committee), and now wants the General Committee to vote on a new design. The disbanded committee is challenging the planned actions of the Executive Board and there may be ‘fireworks” at this meeting. A strong show of support will let the Committee know there are not just one or two upset people.
