Vote of No Confidence in the Administration of the UK

The Issue

Madam,

Your government is acting without legitimacy, competence or any sense of common decency.
The make up of parliament following the 2017 election is a clear indication that the mechanism by which it is selected is not fit for purpose: for years now, successive elections have provided progressively worse governments.

We the undersigned have no confidence in either the government or the means of selection and we call on you to grant us a vote of no confidence in the administration of the country.
It is not my place to say what should be done if the vote is granted and passed, but the first step to solving a problem is to recognise the problem.

Parliament was asked, almost a year ago to publish a petition asking for this on their own site, but have as yet not done so, nor have they formally rejected it: we can only assume that they have so little confidence in themselves that they dare not even ask the question.

We ask therefore that you put your electoral services to the task of putting the question to the electorate.
