Chad Knaus to Remain with 7x Champ Jimmie Johnson

Chad Knaus to Remain with 7x Champ Jimmie Johnson

The Issue

Hendrick Motorsports recently moved Chad Knaus to the 24 crew for the 2019 NASCAR season. This would end a 17-year partnership with current 7 time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson. To end this partnership what tarnish the 48 teams Legacy all the more. Ball 53 races without a victory is bad for this team, I can't understand why they would want to throw it away. In my estimation, this would be the biggest mistake Hendrick Motorsports would ever make.

Jimmie Johnson started his career in NASCAR in 2002 and got his first career victory on his 13th start. He won the 2006 championship and backed it up with four more in the consecutive years of 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010, making them the only driver to win five consecutive titles. In 2013, he returned to win his sixth championship. And on his 80th start at homestead-miami Speedway in 2016, he won not only his seventh Championship, but also the race. This tied him with the legendary King of NASCAR Richard Petty and the late Intimidator Dale Earnhardt. Chad Knaus has been crew chief since Jimmy Johnson first started. 83 career wins, and Chad has been on the box for each one. Every single twist and turn, the connection has remained Jimmie Johnson as driver and Chad Knaus as crew chief.

There is a reason why I have been calling Jimmie Johnson The People's Champion. He is both a great Champion both on and off the track. He is a great father, he is a Class Act, and he has a teammate that can always be relied upon. Chad Knaus has been around to support him every single time there's a question on the track that Jimmie has.

Please support this cause to keep the 48 Legacy continuing onward. I believe that Chad Knaus and Jimmie Johnson still have some time left before the season is over, and if they were to continue in the 2019 season, things would start looking up right for them. This season may have been rough for the team, but next year should be better. We have to strive for it. If you are on Twitter, please use the hashtag #48Forever to send a message to the team that is looking for a record-breaking eighth championship in NASCAR.
