When this petition launched, I hoped it might reach a few hundred people who understood what this death looks like. Close to 5,000 of you have signed in less than three weeks. That is not a small thing. That is thousands of families who have sat at the same bedside, or who are terrified of sitting there one day, or who simply believe that no one should be forced to die this way.
