The Policy Needs To Be Changed

Our bus drivers are being instructed not to allow pupils onto the school buses without a bus pass. The Bridgend County Borough Council Transport Department has set a policy which stipulates this. If the bus company does not comply, they are in breach of their contract, and could substantially loose their contract. This is why some of the drivers are sticking to the letter of the policy, and are leaving our children on the side of the road. Myself and a number of other mothers feel this is totally unacceptable, this is why we are trying to get this bus pass policy changed, to allow some leeway for the driver to make an allowance, for one offs, especially if they know the children.
