Currently the HBCC has approved the continued efforts of a council sub-committee, under the direction of councilman Patrick Brenden, to investigate and arrive at a solution to the recent increase in noise pollution from low flying commercial jet traffic. I attended the informational meeting a few months ago at the H.B. Senior Center where we received an update from this sub-committee. Additionally, during public comments, a suggestion was made to co-ordinate our efforts with the adjacent coastal communities from Long Beach to Newport Beach and this has been done. Ultimately, the FAA will need to become involved in this effort and to that end, I would encourage everyone to contact their local congressional representative as well as both Senators Feinstein and Harris.

As a resident who personally witnesses jet airplanes flying very low over my home on an all to frequent basis, I will continue to make this issue one of my highest priorities.
