In the last 24 hours we have heard distressing news about the over 80 missiles launched by the Russian military against civilians and infrastructure in key cities in Ukraine including Kyiv. There is no military objective in any of this. It is simply designed to terrorise and demoralise. This is terrorism by definition.

Estonia is already in the process of declaring Russia a terrorist state. If New Zealand considers itself to be a strong supporter of human rights and decency then we should follow suit.
