I received a twitter response from the Minister of Defence. 

The New Zealand Defence Force has finalised a sale of 22 out of the 30 surplus NZLAVs to the Chilean Navy. This happened very recently.

There are still 8 surplus vehicles that have not been sold however.

In my view this development is disappointing as Chile does not need these vehicles as much as Ukraine does, but given that we still have surplus vehicles, I don't think it fundamentally alters the intent of the petition. Also in my view the 7.5 million we have pledged to Ukraine in military aid is small even by New Zealand standards.

I continue to encourage people to share the petition as widely as possible.
