SB Meeting with State Forester Tonight

Greetings,

On March 17, five petition signers joined the Selectboard meeting to voice their concerns and objection to the Blood Brook Rd tree removal and road widening project. Two of the Five SB members were in agreeance with the petitioners and the SB acknowledged more information needed to be gathered. 

Tonight, the SB will hold an open meeting at the site with respected state forester, Dave Paganelli. I encourage anyone to attend who can, as it will be a great information session on the health of our forests, as well as community building around this issue.

If you have not already, I also encourage you to please write directly to the West Fairlee Selectboard to let them know how much this issue means to you and your family.

This picture is of Buck Hill, a dead end class III road off Middlebrook. Last spring, the town cleared this ROW without following the town plan or state laws regarding ROW notification or lumber compensation. Please email them to hold our leaders accountable and keep Blood Brook and other town roads from a similar fate.
