The internet_blackout in Sudan was the TMC ‘s way to control the narrative and silence the people; while they are killing and terrorizing peaceful citizens!

The services are restored now, but the threat remains! People do not trust the TMC and believe they might decide to implement another shutdown!

The internet service providers MTN & ZAIN helped implement and maintain this shutdown. Most internet services users are their customers and they were betrayed by the complicity of those businesses with ruthless coup leaders.

Right now, the Janjaweed aka the Rapid Support Forces RSF are let loose on the streets, harassing and beating people. They are fully armed with assault weapons and not gun-shy!

They killed over 100 protesters and injured about 500 - this is a conservative estimate, because many are missing and eyewitness say they threw dead bodies in the river!

There’s no way to document these atrocities without functioning internet services! The abuse will go on and none the wiser! We need the international community to exert pressure on the Transitional Military Council to stop blocking the service in the future and refrain from its constant efforts to erode all kinds of freedom of information!

Please help us! This the least the international community should do! It will be a huge step forward from thoughts & prayers, denouncing the violence and condemning the TMC/RSF actions!

We also ask MTN and ZAIN to resist the TMC  tyranny  and keep its promise to its customers. We ask the executive directors and CEOs to take a stand and defend its loyal subscribers’ right to service and above all to denounce this evil partnership with the TMC. They are equally responsible for silencing the Sudanese people and helping the TMC literally get away with murder, rape and torture!

I hope someone will listen and do something - in the name of human solidarity!
