WE HAVE ALMOST 5,000 SIGNATURES!

When I started this petition 6 months ago, I had no idea how many signatures I would actually get. I'm happy and so very grateful to report that my petition in support of HB 1692 currently has nearly 5,000 signatures!! I want to thank each and every one of you for all your support and for sharing the heart wrenching stories some of you have shared. I know we are going to make a difference and the overwhelming support so far has been proof! Well.....where do we go from here? Proposed HB 1692 is still currently being reviewed by the Human Services Committee. There was a public hearing held on June 23, 2016, at which time the Committee heard testimony related to and in support of this proposed Bill. Please continue to share & support this Petition with signatures and your stories. Our lawmakers need to know how important this legislation is to those of us who have had (and lost) and currently have loved ones in the grips of addiction. Although HB 1692 is not the ultimate solution to end the substance abuse epidemic in Pennsylvania; it is one of many solutions and, in my opinion, a very important one. Please SUPPORT, SIGN and SHARE!
