China is seeking UNESCO World Heritage status for Kokoxili (Chinese: Hoh Xil) in Tibet; a vast area, as big as Denmark and the Netherlands combined, of breathtaking lakes, stunning wetlands, and striking wildlife. China’s plan may sound noble, but it’s not! SIGN AND SHARE: http://bit.ly/TibetNomadLand China has wrongly branded Kokoxili “No Man’s Land,” but the reality is that Kokoxili is Tibet's Nomads' Land; Tibetan nomads have stewarded this area for over 9,000 years, and have built a deep understanding how to sustain the area’s wildlife, healthy ecosystems, and water resources that are relied upon across Asia.. If UNESCO vote in favour of China's nomination it will be giving China the red light to carry out the detrimental policies that remove Tibetan nomads from their traditional homelands, and give greater State control over Tibetans' movements and lifestyle. Help us raise the alarm by sending a message NOW telling UNESCO, “Your actions in the coming days will make a critical difference for the Tibetan traditional way of life and the protection of Tibet’s wildlife, which is sacred to the Tibetan people.” SIGN AND SHARE: http://bit.ly/TibetNomadLand
