Shin Point is getting help!

After years of advocating for Shin Point Road Watson decided to help Shin Point. The committee voted to buy a 50 x 50 sq ft piece of land up top to lease to the water department to install a water tower. This way the county would be required to maintain the easement to their property. Watson enlisted me in helping to get a neighbor to donate land. After this was accomplished a year later Watson rented a jackhammer just before Christmas to bust up rock bed protruding up from the road. He also installed a plastic culvert at the bottom of the road to prevent Shin Point run off from running off across McKenny Road across from Shin Point. Currently his re-election campaign is to complete Shin Point Road mid November. During the ice storm no salt or sand was brought and due to the shade the road stayed frozen keeping the citizens trapped up top for far longer than the rest of the county. Neighbors had medical emergencies but no help came. We are looking forward to this being a thing of the past!
