Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Your support since the closing of the Marian Shrine of Gratitude in August 2023 is invaluable. We thank you for standing up for your faith and what matters to thousands of us in the city of Toronto. The love and healing we all experienced from our Blessed Mother and our Lord from what has been called the Marian Shrine of Gratitude from 2005 to 2023 has been a source of great joy. The heritage designation is crucial as it will ensure that the spiritual and historical significance of the shrine is preserved for future generations.

Before the land sale at 3100 Weston Road, an application was submitted in 2020 to preserve the Rivermede House and the Marian Shrine of Gratitude as heritage. An important meeting has been scheduled for January 8, 2025, by the Toronto Preservation Board, a group responsible for protecting and promoting the city's heritage resources, which will be at City Hall, Committee Room 1/ Video conference at 9:30 a.m. The Preservation Board will discuss 3100 Weston Road -Notice of Intention to Designate a Property under Part 1V, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act. Anyone who wishes to watch the meeting in person can visit city hall or connect using the Watch Live link on the agenda, which will be available on the day of the meeting. You will get direct access to the Toronto City Council YouTube channel.  The link to the agenda is

Your role in this process is crucial. We are asking all the pilgrims who have supported the heritage designation for the Marian Shrine of Gratitude to please make your voices heard once more on or by JANUARY 8, 2025. Your written comments may be submitted by email before January 7, 2025, to hertpb@toronto.ca.  To present to the Toronto Preservation Board, please register by email to hertpb@toronto.ca or by phone at 416-397-4592. Each speaker has a maximum of 5 minutes to speak.

To make a deputation to the Toronto Preservation Board, you may submit written comments or register to speak on January 8, 2025. You will have the instructions on how to participate in the meeting.

Your support is greatly appreciated and needed, as this is an essential step in protecting this sacred land. I am attaching a city document from the Toronto Preservation Board with more details.

God bless you and your family with health and happiness.
