This petition is an urgent plea from our Lady, who wants your presence at 3100 Weston Road, Toronto. This wonderful petition that garnered almost 20,000 signatures within a month is a significant momentum- our signatures mean we care about saving this sacred ground. When we want to save someone or something, we sometimes need to be physically present- if we can, to show support- whether we mean it for a friend, a family member, or a cause we are passionate about.
October is jam-packed with significant feast days and is the month of the Most Holy Rosary! "As a prayer for peace, the Rosary is also, and always has been a prayer of and for the family. At one time, this prayer was particularly dear to Christian families, and it certainly brought them closer together. It is important not to lose this precious inheritance. We need to return to the practice of family prayer, and prayer for families continuing to use the Rosary (Rosarium Virginis Mariae, Pope St. John Paul II).
We must show everyone your commitment and interest in this cause! Please join in the prayers at 8 p.m. DAILY!
These are significant dates at the Marian Shrine that we observe annually:
October 4- Feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron Saint of nature, which is also the anniversary of Fr. Basil's healing of his injured eye by Our Lady. (The Marian Shrine has nature and the love of our Lady in it!)
October 7- Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary
October 13- the 6th annual Rosary Coast to Coast, a Canada-wide prayer event to show unity in prayer and to ask God for mercy at a specific hour through the Holy Rosary. (livestreamed and in-person).
