We have received a response from Canada regarding the emails that were sent. However, the reply did not come directly from the official the message was addressed to, but from someone responding on their behalf.

The message we received was brief and general in tone. It thanked us for our email and acknowledged our concern and love for animals. While we appreciate that a response was sent, it did not address the specific concerns raised, nor did it provide clarity about concrete actions being taken.

This raises an important question:

Was our message personally reviewed by the official it was intended for, or was it handled solely at staff level?

At this stage, we do not have confirmation.

Why This Matters.

When hundreds or even thousands of people take the time to speak up, those voices deserve more than a standard acknowledgment. Meaningful change requires transparency, accountability, and direct engagement from decision-makers.
