We recently participated in an interview with KALB, which we initially believed would be a live interview. However, we're excited to share that our stories will instead be featured in a journalist-led documentary about CCS projects, set to air in mid-December.
As community voices, we shared our personal stories, highlighting how CCS projects would impact our daily lives and our future. We showcased the human side of this issue.
We had an amazing turnout, despite short notice, with people of all ages showing their support - from babies to seniors, and even dogs! It was a true group effort, and the collective dedication and passion made for a powerful statement.
The documentary aims to provide a neutral view of the issue, featuring perspectives from both supporters and opponents of CCS projects in Louisiana. We hope that our truth and personal experiences will mute the voices of those who support CCS projects, and that our community's voices and determination will do justice for generations to come.
Regardless of the documentary's outcome, we will continue to fight against CCS projects in our community. We deserve to live in a community that prioritizes our well-being and our future.
Now, as we await the documentary's release, we're continuing our efforts to keep the momentum going. We encourage everyone to print out the attached flyer and distribute it to local businesses, business owners, and community members.
Let's keep pushing forward together! Now, let's take it to the next level! Let's try to get in contact with more news outlets, journalists, and national media to bring even more attention to our fight. Let's explore all avenues to demand a stop to CCS projects, despite the large corporations and money invested in them. To those corporations, we say: pack your bags! We won't back down, and we won't give up.
If you have any ideas for more publicity, ways to get our message out, or are in need of the PRINTABLE FLYER, please email us at thepeopleoflouisiana@yahoo.com.
