I cannot begin to adequately thank you for your support over this past year. What we’ve accomplished together is nothing short of a miracle. Through your support, our advocacy team helped pass four pieces of legislation in Congress, resulting in over 5,000 new visas for Afghans and a complete extension of both the Afghan and Iraqi Special Immigrant Visa programs for at least an additional two years. To put it simply, these efforts will help save at least 25,000 lives. We hope Ehsan will be one of the new visa recipients. Together, we helped resettle over 60 Afghan and Iraqi families throughout the United States. We fully furnished each of their homes, paid the rent for ten families for three months, and bought cars for nine families. We expanded operations from the greater DC area to Rochester and Syracuse, NY, Oakland, CA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Portland, OR. In the coming year, we hope to double our services and provide the entirety of our benefits to 120 families. To do that, we need your help. We anticipate an influx of at least 20,000 Afghans and Iraqis arriving this year.
